Heat exchanger and burner
Inspect accessible combustion-side surfaces and burner components. Cleaning methods, disassembly and replacement seals follow the applicable manufacturer procedure.
LICENSED · INSURED · FAMILY-OWNED · SINCE 2003
Prepare your heating equipment for the season with model-specific inspection and cleaning. Request service for Navien and other high-efficiency boilers in Lower Westchester; we confirm equipment, scope and pricing before the visit.
START WITH THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT
A wall-hung cabinet does not identify the system. A heating-only boiler serves the hydronic heating loop; a combi-boiler also makes domestic hot water; a tankless water heater heats domestic water. Send the model number or a rating-label photo so the service matches your equipment.
Heat exchanger cleaning can mean combustion-side deposit removal or water-side descaling. Those are different procedures. Yukos reviews the manufacturer instructions, service history and observed condition before recommending the appropriate work.
MODEL-SPECIFIC SERVICE SCOPE
Inspect accessible combustion-side surfaces and burner components. Cleaning methods, disassembly and replacement seals follow the applicable manufacturer procedure.
Review ignition components, flame sensing, operating controls and relevant safety functions. A failed component is identified as a repair, not hidden inside a cleaning package.
Check the condensate path, trap, visible intake and exhaust for restrictions, leakage or deterioration. Corrections depend on the equipment and approved scope.
Review system pressure, water condition and service history. Domestic-water descaling is considered where applicable; it is not automatically the same as flushing a closed heating loop.
Check operation after service, including relevant temperature, pressure and combustion measurements as specified for the model and agreed scope.
Review completed tasks, remaining defects and any recommended repairs. Confirm what is included before booking; replacement parts and corrective work may require separate approval.
EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION
Navien and Weil-McLain are equipment brands, not one universal cleaning procedure. Model compatibility and service availability are confirmed individually.
CLEANING OR DIAGNOSIS?
Plan an annual professional review and follow the maintenance schedule for your model. The need for cleaning or descaling depends on the unit, water quality, usage and condition.
Loss of heat, repeated lockouts, water leakage, unstable pressure or unusual combustion symptoms require a diagnostic scope. Cleaning alone should not be promised as the cure.
REAL PROJECT EVIDENCE
Our published Rye boiler project shows the heating equipment, piping and controls that must be considered together when planning service. The image illustrates installation experience; it is not a before-and-after cleaning example.

Share your address, manufacturer, model, unit count, last service date and any current symptoms. A rating-label photo helps avoid booking the wrong scope.
We review equipment type, access and required procedures, then confirm the price, included tasks, parts exclusions and appointment availability.
The technician follows the model-specific procedure and separates maintenance work from repairs requiring further authorization.
Discuss findings, any recommended corrective work and the next service interval. Existing maintenance-plan coverage is checked before additional work is quoted.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Plan regular professional maintenance using the schedule for the exact Navien model. Inspection, combustion-side cleaning and domestic-water descaling are different tasks; the required procedures depend on the equipment and condition.
No. Combustion-side cleaning removes deposits from surfaces exposed to combustion products. Descaling treats mineral deposits in a water passage. A technician should identify which circuit and procedure apply to your unit.
Pricing is confirmed after reviewing the model, number of units, access, service history and required cleaning. Ask what labor, materials and checks are included; repairs and replacement parts may be quoted separately.
Send the manufacturer and exact model. We confirm serviceability and the correct maintenance scope before scheduling. A conventional boiler and a high-efficiency condensing boiler do not use the same checklist.
Leave the property and contact the gas utility or emergency services from a safe location. Do not remain inside to troubleshoot the heating system.

REQUEST BOILER MAINTENANCE
Send your ZIP code, boiler make and model, number of units and last service date. Include any error codes or symptoms so we can confirm whether maintenance or diagnosis is appropriate.
Gas odors and carbon-monoxide alarms require immediate utility or emergency response, not an online service request.
Use our service request form or call the office. Appointments and response times are confirmed during business hours.
